Aurangabad, Jan 27:

A squad comprising officials from Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) and Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) today seized 140 kg of banned plastic carry bags from a shop situated in Pandariba area, today. The squad collected a fine of Rs 5,000 from the shopkeeper, on the spot.

The squad during the drive spotted carry bags in Raj Plastics. They seized the total stock of plastic carry bags in the shop. MPCB's field officers Dr Gajanan Khadkikar and Dr Snehal Kosey along with AMC sanitary inspector Danish Siddiqui and head of Nagarik Mitra Pathak Pramod Jadhav took action.
