MSRTC MD listens to woes of lady conductor
Aurangabad, Dec 20:
The machines given to the conductors for the Smart City Bus Service do not show the number of passengers and money recovered from the passengers for the fare. Still, the Smart City officers accused the conductors of misappropriation in the recovery of the fare and conduct inquiry of the conductors in camera. The conductors are facing severe mental stress due to this treatment, alleged the conductors. A lady conductor, Nalini Shinde told her woes to the vice president and managing director of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) Shekhar Panne in this regard during the divisional meeting at Aurangabad.
The retired officers of MSRTC are looking after the affairs of the Smart City Bus Service. The fare amount is seen in the machines given to the conductors of other cities in the state, but the money is not seen in the machines given to the conductors at Aurangabad. Still, the officers accused the conductors of misappropriation. Hence, they have to face mental stress even without their mistake, Shinde said in her complaint.
Meanwhile, Channe assured the conductors to resolve this issue at the earliest. He also reviewed the work of Bus Port and the new Bus Stand beign constructed at the Central Bus Stand. Divisional controller Arun Siya, traffic officer Amol Ahire, Kishor Somwanshi and other officers were present. The secetary of the MSRTC Retired Employees Association, Syed Hamid submitted a memorandum of demands to Channe.
