New recruitment process for 73 posts of teachers

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University will re-implement the recruitment process for the 73 posts as per the revised rules and regulations declared by the State Government recently.

Those who applied earlier will have to fill out the Academic, Teaching and Research Credentials (ATR)

anew. Registrar Dr Prashant Amritkar said that new candidates would also be able to apply in this recruitment process.

The Higher and Technical Education Department issued new orders on February 11, 2026, regarding the implementation of the selection process of teachers in public universities in Maharashtra.

Accordingly, a decision was made regarding filling 'ATR'. As per the new criteria, the weightage will be given to academic record, teaching skills and interview in 60, 20 and 20 per cent respectively.

This recruitment process will be implemented for 73 posts in the teaching category.

This includes posts in the main campus as well as the Dharashiv sub-campus, in all four faculties of Humanities, Commerce, Interdisciplinary Studies and Science Technology.

Out of the total posts, there will be eight posts of professors and 12 posts of associate professors.

The remaining 53 posts are for assistant professors. Online applications can be submitted for the posts through the Central Government's Samarth portal between February 26 and March 12 (until 6 pm). Two hard copies can be submitted to the establishment department by March 18.

4 posts deans to be filled

The posts of deans of all four faculties have been vacant since January 1, 2024. Currently, in-charges have been appointed to the posts. The posts of Deans of all four faculties, as well as the post of Director of the Knowledge Source Centre, will also be filled. Candidates who have applied earlier will not need to submit the application form again.
