Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Mayor Sameer Rajurkar on Monday met all party group leaders to ensure smooth and disciplined proceedings in municipal general meetings. Leaders were informed that last-minute topics will not be allowed, and all questions must be submitted in writing.

The meeting was attended by BJP’s Govind Kendre, AIMIM’s Haji Sherkhan, Shinde Sena’s Kishor Nagre, and Uddhav Sena’s Ganesh Lokhande. Rajurkar reminded them of procedural rules and stressed that corporators must be informed to maintain order. Noting that past discussions often veered from the agenda and agenda topics were approved only after long debates, he said corporators must submit questions at least seven days in advance. The administration will respond in writing, and any follow-up or supplementary questions can then be raised during the meeting.
