Aurangabad, July 23:
Keeping the anger of abusing him before his mother by a friend in mind, a notorious goon stabbed his abuser friend at Gully No C-7 in Sanjaynagar, Baijipura, on Thursday at around 9.30 pm. The injured youth was rushed to the hospital but died due to excessive bleeding while undergoing treatment at around midnight. The Jinsi police nabbed the murderer immediately after one hour of the incident.
According to the details, accused Shaikh Arbaaz alias Vishal alias Bhurya (24, near Gausiya Masjid, Kailashnagar) is a hardcore criminal on the police record and has spread terror among the people at Sanjaynagar, Baijipura, and Kailashnagar areas. The deceased Mangesh Dinkar Malode (28, Gully No - B-7, Sanjaynagar) and Bhurya were friends, and both were addicts. Mangesh was a labourer.
A few days back, both of them quarreled, but the issue was later settled. Two days before, Mangesh abused Bhurya in front of his mother, due to which he was angry with Mangesh. Keeping the incident in mind, Bhurya called Mangesh near Gulli No C-7 at Sanjaynagar on Thursday at around 9.30 pm. He then stabbed Mangesh on the left hand and left leg, due to which he was severely injured. The nearby residents rushed Mangesh to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) where he died at around 12 midnight.
Mangesh’s brother Umesh Dinkar Malode lodged a complaint at the Jinsi police station, and accordingly, PSI Gokul Thakur registered a case. PI Rajesh Mayekar is further investigating the case.
After receiving the information, PSI Thakur and his team rushed to the spot and searched for Bhurya. He came to know that he was hiding in the Kailashnagar area. The police rushed and arrested him from an open space at Kailashnagar within an hour of the incident. When the process of registering a case of an attempt to murder against Bhurya was going on, the information of the death of Mangesh was received. Hence, a case of murder was registered.

Deceased, Mangesh was his friend and was also a drunkard. Bhurya stabbed him over an old dispute, the police informed. Meanwhile, senior police officers including DCP Deepak Girhe, ACP Nishikant Bhujbal, PI Vyankat Kendre, PI Rajesh Mayekar, and others rushed and inspected the murder spot. They issued directives regarding the collection of evidences.
