Aurangabad, July 13:

A motorcycle rider dies, while his pillion rider sustains grave injuries after the motorcycle on which they were riding was hit by a speeding tempo from the opposite direction, between Ellora and Akatwada, today morning. The deceased have been identified as Yogesh Arjun Laghane (30, Ranjangaon Khuri in Paithan), while the name of the injured is Ankush Namdeo Borade (32, Wadgaon in Gangapur).

Police said, Yogesh and Ankush, were proceeding towards Pimpri village on the motorcycle (MH 20 DW 4114) today at 10.30 am. When they were passing through the road extended from Ellora to Akhatwada, a small tempo (MH 20 EL 5284) coming from Pimpri hit their motorcycle from the opposite direction. The impact of the accident was so severe that both the riders were thrown away from the motorcycle. Yogesh died on the spot, while Ankush sustained grave injuries.

Acting upon the information, Khuldabad police station's Beat Marshall Manohar Pungale, Walmik Kamble, and Sanjay Thombre reached the spot. They shifted the injured to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for treatment. Khuldabad police have registered the case and further investigation is on by the police.
