Over 115 college teachers to be promoted within Bamu's jurisdiction

Chhatrapati Sambahjinagar: More than 115 college assistant professors, associate professors and professors will be promoted under the career advancement scheme (CAS) within the jurisdiction of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) this week.

The university will hold a CAS camp at two places to examine their details and interview them. The first camp will be organised at the Dharashiv sub-centre of Bamu on October 26 for the teachers from Beed and Dharashiv districts teachers while the second camp will be conducted at the Human Resource Development Centre in the university city campus on October 27. There are different stages of promotion (from stages 11 to 14) in CAS.

The university invited a proposal from the teachers of the affiliated in August. The administration received 115 proposals from the teachers Botany, Chemistry, Zoology, Computer Science, Commerce, English and Public administration, Geography, Physics and Hindi.

. The district-wise candidates were called for the interviews. There will be a team of coordinators for each camp. A committee comprising the vice chancellor’s nominee, a higher education department representative and a subject expert will examine the documents and interview the candidates. The team will send the list of selected candidates to the university administration which subsequently will forward to the Government.

The higher education department will revise the pay scale of the promoted teachers. There are 483 undergraduate and postgraduate colleges in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Beed and Dharashiv districts which fall within the university’s jurisdiction.
