Aurangabad, March 21:
The district administration has cancelled the annual ‘Paithan Yatra’ because of Novel coronavirus spread.
Shri Eknath Maharaj Vishwastha Mandal was to hold 'Nath Shashti Fair ' at Paithan in the first week of April.
Lakhs of devotees from the different parts of the State attend the festival.
District collector Sunil Chavan issued the orders of cancelling it.
“A large number of devotees arrive for the Yatra. This is not good given COVID spread,” it was stated in the orders.
The Paithan Yatra was also suspended last year for the same reason.
