Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: More than five lakh devotees collectively recited 'Pasaydan', the universal peace message of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj, in the Nathashashti festival celebration at Paithan tehsil of the district on Monday.
This unprecedented event has been recorded in the Guinness Book of World Records, making it a unique world record delivering a message of peace to the world from the land of Paithan.
This year's Nathashashti festival in the holy city of Paithan — sanctified by the tradition of saints — witnessed a historic golden moment today. The grand initiative was organised under the leadership of the Sant Eknath Maharaj Sansthan and various organisations.
Millions of Warkaris and devotees gathered and recited the Pasaydan to the resounding beat of cymbals and drums and the chanting of Hari's name. As the Pasaydan rose simultaneously from thousands of voices, the entire surrounding area was literally immersed in devotion.
Speaking after the event, Mauli Sansthan President H.B.P. Dnyaneshwar Dada Kolhapurkar said, "The Pasaydan of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj shows the world the path of happiness, peace, and righteousness. This message echoing from the land of Paithan is an inspiration for all of humanity."
The primary credit for this historic record is being given to Sansthan President MLA Vilas Bhumare.
Special efforts for this record were made by Chandrakant Bharat (founder, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar District Shivcharitra Parayan Sohala), Executive Trustee Dada Bare, Nandlal Kale, Santosh Tambe, Santosh Gavhane, Shahadev Lohare, Vijay Surase and others. Education Officer of the Secondary Division of the Zilla Parishad, Ashwini Lathkar, also participated in the initiative.
