Aurangabad, April 2:

At present, the district has a storage capacity of 61 Kiloliter (KL) of liquid oxygen through 4 hospitals. In addition, work is underway on an additional storage capacity of 33 KL. The patients in the district will not be deprived of oxygen in view of the current situation, said district collector Sunil Chavan.

The collector was speaking at a meeting held on Friday in connection with measures to be taken to maintain oxygen supply in case of emergency. Nodal officer Shrimant Harkar informed about liquid oxygen and gas cylinders in the district. The district administration has started the process of procuring 1,500 jumbo cylinders and has procured 4 KL of Sterlite and 3 KL of RL Steel to ensure ample supply of gas, the district collector said. Senior officials were present for the meeting.
