Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar
With only 11 days left for the financial year to end, MSEDCL has announced that its authorized electricity bill payment centres will remain open on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays during office hours. The move aims to facilitate bill payments and ensure consumers clear their dues on time to avoid penalties and power disconnections.
Mahavitaran officials emphasized that while maintaining an uninterrupted power supply is their responsibility, timely bill payments are crucial. However, many consumers, including domestic, commercial, and industrial users, have pending dues, forcing the utility to take strict measures. Currently, outstanding dues in the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar division amount to approximately Rs 208 crore. To meet collection targets, Mahavitaran has ramped up recovery efforts by forming sub-division-wise teams and extending bill payment facilities to weekends and holidays.
