Aurangabad, March 15: All the member hospitals of the Marathwada Hospital Association (MHA) have agreed to limit the selling price of remdesivir, an important drug used for treatment of Covid-19, to Rs 1400.

The maximum retail price of injection remdesivir ranges from Rs 2500 to Rs 4500. Recently the manufacturers have reduced the price of the injection.

Today, after discussions between the joint commissioner, Food and Drugs Administration and MHA, it was agreed upon to limit the price to Rs 1400, said MHA president Dr Himanshu Gupta and secretary Dr Shoeb Hashmi.
