Principal R K Kshirsagar passes away

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Former Principal of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar College of Arts and Commerce R K Kshirsagar (81, Padegaon) passed on Saturday morning.

He leaves behind wife, one son, three daughters and an extended family. The last rites will be performed on him at his native place in Mhaisa of Telangana, at 11.30 am, on April 13.

His research on the Indian Republican Party became the most popular. He also translated the thirteenth volume of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar's 'Writing and Speeches' into Marathi. Under his guidance, many students completed Ph D degrees.

Even after retirement, he gave lectures on social movements, scholarship schemes and many important issues through Dr Ambedkar Social Studies Institute. He held the position of Joint Secretary of the People's Education Society for some time and was also a former Principal of Dr Ambedkar Law College.
