Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
A patient died today in a private hospital. His friends had collected and paid Rs 2.5 lakh. However, Rs 15,000 were remaining. Saying it is the hospital’s rule, the hospital took the stand that the dead body would not be handed over without paying the money. Humanity has been lost. GMCH has more facilities than private hospitals. These facilities should be brought before the people. Like private hospitals, GMCH is also capable. Rich patients should also come here for treatment, said guardian minister Sanjay Shirsat.
He was speaking at the ceremony organised on Saturday for the distribution of appointment letters to Class IV employees selected through the direct service recruitment process at GMCH. On this occasion, dean Dr. Shivaji Sukre, special officer of Government Cancer Hospital Dr. Arvind Gaikwad, former mayor Nandkumar Ghodele, Vikas Jain, Ashok Patwardhan, Dr. Archana Ware, Dr. Sonali Deshpande, Dr. Kashinath Garkal along with visitor committee members were present. Do not look at work as a job but look at it as a service, advised Shirsat to the newly appointed employees.
Keys are in my hands, how will AC be installed?
Sanjay Shirsat said, I make some suggestions. If they are done then fine. Otherwise it is in our hands. Funds will be closed next year, then from where will AC be installed? It is my work to encourage doctors.
Make GMCH broker-free
Visitor committee member Ulhas Patil said it should become broker-free, and viral videos from GMCH should stop. While guiding, Sanjay Shirsat said, put a brake on brokers, do not think how many days we are here.
