Aurangabad, Jan 27:

A political activist abused a deputy engineer (of PWD) Ashok Yerekar, accusing him of constructing substandard quality of the road, near the Barapulla Gate, today in the afternoon. The incident took place in front of the MP Syed Imtiaz Jaleel. Meanwhile, one group has lodged the police complaint, but the PWD engineer has registered a complaint against anybody, so far.

It so happened that the activist was inquiring about the quality of the road to the PWD engineer at the site. He was also abusing him for substandard quality of work done. The MP, who was passing through the site, immediately stopped. He also tried to pacify the angry activist and then left the place.

When contacted Yerekar said, " It was nothing but an attempt to create hurdles and stop the ongoing road work. Similar attempts were made in the past. I do not know the activist (who are speaking to him impolite manner), but I told him to contact PWD's quality control section and register his complaint. I also suggested getting the quality of work verified by an expert. However, he as not in the mood to listen. The MP, who was passing by when the incident took place, also tried to pacify him. Meanwhile, I had not lodged any police complaint."
