A mob from Nilajgaon taking a Dindi violently attacked a Naga Sadhu on Shri Ram Tekdi at Meherban Tanda area in Paithan tehsil, Ganeshgir Maharaj on Friday. His devotees admitted him to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). The incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Bidkin police station but no case has been registered in this regard so far.
On Friday, the villagers of Nilajgaon (Paithan) sent to the tekdi on the occasion of Mokshada Ekadash in a dindi. Meanwhile, a dispute aroused between Ganeshgiri Maharaj (Panch Dashnam Juna Akhada, Uttarakhand) and the villagers. The villagers become violent. Ganeshgiri Maharaj took out a sword and stood before the villagers. The villagers threw stone on him in which the sage was severely injured. The senior members of the village mediated and he was admitted to the GMCH. The villagers and the devotees of the Maharaj are telling various reasons.
According to the villagers, a cow owned by the Maharaj came there and started trouble the villagers who were having their food on the Tekdi and hence, the villagers discarded the cow from there. Maharaj was angry over it and started threatening the villagers and also beat a villager with stick. He went in and brought a sword due to which the villagers threw stones on him.
