Satana MIDC: Farmers to receive Rs 52.9 lakh per acre

MIDC’s regional office has proposed developing a new industrial estate near the Shendra five-star industrial area in Satana. To acquire 138 hectares of privately owned land, local officials submitted a proposal to pay farmers Rs 52.9 lakh per acre.

With 95% of Shendra Industrial Zone plots already allocated and no plots left in the five-star estate, the government had recently made Jaipur MIDC plots available. Under the new law, MIDC will negotiate directly with farmers for compensation. The proposal has been submitted to the main office and will go to the government for approval before negotiations and land acquisition proceed.
