Aurangabad, Dec 11:
The Shiv Sena and BJP are involved in playing politics over the approval of the new water supply scheme of Rs 1680 crore. The credit war seems to be going on to gain mileage in the forthcoming municipal corporation elections.
The chief minister Uddhav Thackeray is arriving in the city tomorrow (at 1 pm) to inaugurate the new water supply scheme. Taking advantage of it, the BJP is taking credit by proclaiming that the scheme was approved by former chief minister Devendra Fadnavis, while Sena is defending saying that the CM Uddhav Thackeray had sanctioned the scheme by including an expanded area of the city (Satara-Deolai).
BJP is also expressing its fear saying that the new water supply scheme might meet the fate of the old parallel pipeline project which was approved in 2008. However, Sena has decided to launch the scheme on a grand scale. Meanwhile, the fight between both the parties is going on to take the credit of the scheme. The fight is also ongoing through posters. Meanwhile, the people''s wait for getting an adequate quantity of water since the past decade is likely to end up, it is said.
