Mahatma Gandhi Mission University celebrated Shiv Jayanti with the inauguration of the ‘Shivswaroop’ painting exhibition featuring 22 artworks depicting various forms of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj with historical details. Deputy CEO of Smart City Ravindra Jogdand was chief guest, while vice-chancellor Prof. Dr. Vilas Sapkal presided. Chancellor Ankushrao Kadam, registrar Dr. Ashish Gadekar, and deans were present. A rare authentic portrait from the 1870s, from Prof. Ashutosh Patil’s collection, was displayed for the first time. Jogdand also delivered a lecture on Shivaji Maharaj’s governance and Swarajya.
