Son-in-law kills father-in-law over family dispute

A man was stabbed to death by his son-in-law late Tuesday night following a family dispute in Ladsawangi.
Subhash Bhagure (45), Aurangpur), was killed by Manoj Gatode from (Ralegaon, Sillod Tehsil) after an argument over taking Bhagure’s daughter back to her in-laws’ house. When she refused to go, Bhagure tried to calm the situation, asking Manoj to return in the morning. Around 9.15 pm, in a rage on Tuesday, Manoj stabbed Bhagure in the chest and fled. Neighbors rushed the injured man to GMCH, where he was declared dead. Based on a complaint by Ganesh Bhagure, the victim’s brother, Karmad Police registered a murder case. SDPO Pooja Nangare, PI Pratap Navghare, and PSI P.B. Nikalje visited the spot and launched a search.
Accused caught within 12 hours
Manoj was arrested early Wednesday from the Lamkana hill area while trying to escape. He confessed during interrogation. The arrest was made under the supervision of SP Dr. Vinay kumar Rathod, Additional SP Annapurna Singh, and SDPO Pooja Nangare. A case has been registered under BNS Sections 103(2), 351(2), and 352. Subhash Bhagure’s last rites were performed in Aurangpur on Wednesday at 3 pm. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, and two sons. This is the first murder reported in the Ladsawangi area, causing concern among villagers.
