Aurangabad, April 25:

The Crime Branch police have bused a racket of stealing truck from the city and selling it at Dhule. The police arrested Saber Shabbir Pathan (Jatwada Road, Ambar Hills), Saber Shaikh Kadir (Tiranga Chowk, Kala Masjid, Dhule) and Iliyas Ahmed Mohamamd Raees (Ansarnagar, Dhule) in this connection. Whereas, Jahed Shaikh (Hussain Colony, Lane No. 8), Mohammad Okil, and Abdul Quyyum Abdul Vahabasa (Ansarnagar, Dhule) are at large. The arrested have been handed over to the Satara police station for further investigation.

Around 20 days back, two trucks were stolen from Satara Police Station jurisdiction and MIDC police station. On the information received from the informer, the crime branch arrested Saber on suspicion. He confessed that he and his accomplice Jahid stole the trucks. Later, they sold the trucks through Saber Shaikh Kadir (Tiranga Chowk, Kala Masjid, Dhule) to Mohammad Okil and Abdul Quyyum Abdul Vahabasa, for Rs 3 lakh.

Saber Pathen and Jahed Shaikh are the notorious criminals on police record and cases have been registered against them at the City Chowk, Cidco MIDC and Waluj police stations earlier.

The police action was executed under the guidance of CP Dr Nikhil Gupta, DCP Meena Makwana, ACP Ravindra Salokhe, PI Avinash Aghav by PSI Amol Deshmukh, Nandkumar Bhandare, Kiran Gavade, Sanjaysingh Rajput, Baban Ippar, Nitin Deshmukh and others.
