Stop Land Levelling in Abdimandi Immediately; Divisional Commissioner Orders District Administration

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Divisional Commissioner Jitendra Papalkar ordered the district administration to halt land levelling in Abdimandi immediately.

Following this, Resident Deputy Collector Janardan Vidhate issued a letter to Additional Tehsildar Umesh Patil, directing him to stop the illegal sale of agricultural land in Survey (Nos. 11, 12, 26, 37, and 42) at Abdimandi through stamp bonds, as well as the ongoing levelling work.

The letter noted that complaints had been received regarding the illegal sale of enemy property in Abdimandi through stamp bonds. The Civil Court of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar had already issued a status quo order on October 10, 2025, covering approximately 250 acres of land.

Despite this, purchase-sale transactions and land levelling were found to be continuing. The Additional Tehsildar has been asked to maintain the status quo until final orders are received from the court and the government, take action per rules, and submit a report immediately.

Attention on Admin's Actio

No final decision has been reached on the approximately 250 acres of enemy property in these survey numbers. A committee chaired by the Settlement Commissioner had declared all mutations recorded by the administration in 2023 as illegal. MLC Eknath Khadse had also alleged during the Budget Session that a fraud of Rs 1,000 crore had occurred in this matter. With levelling and sales continuing despite these known facts, all eyes are now on what action the administration will take.
