Aurangabad, Oct 17:

Several government officers and employees have been suspended in the action by the anti-corruption bureau or the concerned departments. The hearing on 40 such matters was held on Tuesday chaired by the president of the divisional corruption eradication committee and division commissioner, Sunil Kendrekar. It is likely that some officers and employees in these matters may be reinstated in the services.

The suspended employees are given 75 percent amount of the salaries. Hence, the committee is thinking to reinstate those employees who are not guilty. The government has established the corruption eradication committee at the divisional level to bring transparency in the affairs. The committee works in the reason like delays, ir-regularization, inefficiency and others. It accepts the written complaints and initiates inquiry at the local level independently and taken the decision.

During the hearing, member secretary and revenue deputy commissioner Parag Soman and other officers were present.

Soman said, the pending cases were tabled during the hearing. The decision in the 40 cases will be taken after the completion of the proceedings in 40 cases, he said.
