Aurangabad, Oct 13: Swayamshree Mataji passed away in Santhara (samadhi-marana) at Namokar Tirtha Chandwad in the company of Acharya Sri Devanandiji Gurudev on Tuesday. She was a resident of Aadul village near Kachner.

Sixteen years ago, she took Kshullika Diksha and then held the niyam sallekhana for twelve years. For the last 32 days he had taken up Yama Sallekhana. Pujya Swamyamshree Mataji attained the santhara at 6 am on October 13 while chanting the Namokar Mahamantra. Neelam Ajmera, president of the temple trust, Bramhachari Vaishaliji, Lalit Patni, chairman of Chaturmas committee, Suresh Kasliwal, Vijay Kasliwal, Paras Lohade, Pravin Lohade, and members were present. In Jainism, Samadhimaran, Sallekhana Vrat is of special importance. Thousands of devotees come for Darshan, but they were not allowed due to corona. A procession of Mataji was taken out from a decorated palanquin. Acharya Shri Devanadiji Maharaj recited the mantra. Last rights were performed by community members.
