Teachers to get promotion in CAS camp

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The administration of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) will hold a Career Advancement Scheme (CAS) camp for the promotion of college teachers on March 11 and 12.

Teachers whose promotion is due and who submitted proposals to the university are called to attend the camp along with the required documents at the given place and date.

The teachers from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Jalna will have to attend the camp at the Human Resource Centre on the Bamu campus on coming Tuesday and Wednesday. The teachers from Dharashiv and Beed colleges have to attend the camp to be hosted at Bamu Sub-centre, Dharashiv between March 11 and 13. A committee is appointed for the interview of the candidates in the camp.

The panel comprises the nominee of the vice chancellor and two subject experts, who will interview the candidates on the basis of his/her subject and required documents. The report of the interview is sent to the university which forwards to the higher education department. The teachers will get a promotion to assistant professor (senior grade), associate professor and professor.

The teachers who applied for the promotion are from subjects like Hindi, English, Sociology, Psychology, Education, Commerce, Chemistry, Physical and Mathematics. After the promotion, the teacher will hike their salary.
