The MIDC Cidco

police arrested a thief who stole a tractor from Waki in Baramati tehsil, at

Naregaon garbage yard on Thursday morning. The police have seized the tractor

from him. The arrested has been identified as Ankush Santosh Sardad (24,

Devpur, Buldhana).

The police

received the information that a stolen tractor is being brought for selling at

Naregaon. Under the guidance of PI Vitthal Pote, police team including PSI

Amarnath Nagare, constable Munir Pathan, Deepak Shinde, Nitin Sudarde and

others laid a trap and stopped a suspected tractor. The police asked the driver

Ankush for the papers but he failed to produce it. On suspicion, the police

arrested him and during interrogation, he confessed that he stole the tractor

from Ravindra Sawant’s farm at Waki in Baramati tehsil and he was searching for

a customer. During further investigation it was found that a case in this

regard was registered at the Wadgaon Nimbalkar police station.

He told that he

stole a tractor with two trolleys but he left one of the trolley on Malegaon –

Mumbai road. PI Pote informed about the arrest to the Wadgaon Nimbalkar police.
