Traffic restrictions in place for Annabhau Sathe Jayanti Today

In view of the Lokshahir Annabhau Sathe Jayanti celebrations on August 1, traffic restrictions have been imposed in several parts of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar from 7 am to midnight.
As large crowds are expected to gather at Annabhau Sathe chowk and surrounding areas to pay tribute, the city police have announced road closures and diversions to ensure smooth movement and public safety.
Roads closed for all vehicles:
1. Bhadkal Gate to Annabhau Sathe Chowk
2. Uddhavrao Patil Chowk to Annabhau Sathe Chowk
3. Divisional Commissioner’s residence (T-point) to Annabhau Sathe Chowk
4. Chelipura Chowk to Chandne Chowk via Annabhau Sathe Chowk
Alternative Routes:
• From Bhadkal Gate: Take Juna Bazar – City Chowk – Chelipura Chowk – Champa Chowk.
• From Uddhavrao Patil Chowk: Use Savishnu Hospital Chowk – Siddharth Chowk – TV Centre or Savishnu Hospital – N-12 Swarg Hotel – TV Centre.
• From Divisional Commissioner’s residence: Take Champa Chowk – Chelipura Chowk – City Chowk.
• MSRTC buses: Diverted via Mill Corner U-turn – Kartiki Chowk – Mahavir Chowk – Kranti Chowk flyover – Garkheda route.
• Private buses: To use Harsul T-point – Sharad T-point – Jalgaon T-point – Mahavir Chowk – Kartiki Chowk.
Police have clarified that emergency vehicles such as ambulances, fire brigades, and police units will be exempted from the restriction.
Traffic police may adjust routes as required. Citizens violating the order may face legal action under Section 131 of the Maharashtra Police Act.
