Twist of fate: Grandfather passes away after granddaughter’s death

In a tragic turn of events, following the death of a nine-year-old girl injured in a pickup and two-wheeler accident on the Shiur–Shiur Bungalow road, her grandfather Appasaheb Prabhakar Jadhav (50) has also succumbed to his injuries. He passed away at around 9:30 pm on Saturday at a private hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

According to details, the accident occurred on March 25 at around 6 pm, when a speeding pickup vehicle collided with a two-wheeler on the Shiur–Shiur Bungalow road. All four persons on the two-wheeler were seriously injured, including Appasaheb Jadhav, his daughter Rani Yogesh Kavde (32), and granddaughters Anushree and Vedshree.

The injured were admitted to a private hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Appasaheb Jadhav had sustained severe injuries to his head and leg, while nine-year-old Anushree suffered critical injuries to her jaw and head. Despite doctors’ best efforts, she passed away on Thursday morning (March 26).

The shock of losing his beloved granddaughter further worsened Appasaheb Jadhav’s condition. As he did not respond to treatment, he passed away on Saturday night (March 28).

He is survived by his parents, wife, son, two daughters, brother, and two sisters. The double tragedy has cast a deep shadow of grief over the Jadhav family.

Rani Kavde and her younger daughter Vedshree, who were also injured in the accident, are currently undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Locals are praying for their speedy recovery.
