Aurangabad, April 24:

The Railway Security Force arrested two persons on Saturday for black marketing of the railway tickets selling it to the people going to their native places in other states due to the lockdown phase. The arrested have been identified as Chagan Khairu Rathod (41, Padampura) and Kalpesh Sakharam Mali (37, Shirdi). Rathod is an employee of the CMS Company appointed by the computer works by the railway. He works as the passenger reservation system (PRS) internet provider while Kalpesh provided these tickets to the passengers going to their native places from Mumbai, Nashik, and Manmad railway stations. The RSF received the information about these two persons two days back. On Saturday, they took four tatkal railway tickets amounting to Rs 11,660 from the Post office at Kannad from PRS. These tickets were for 12 passengers. These including two AC classes tickets and two sleeper classes tickets. They recover Rs 1000 for each passenger for AC coach and Rs 500 for the sleeper class. The police laid a trap and arrested both of them. The action was executed under the guidance of commissioner Mithun Swami by PI Arvindkumar Sharma, PSI Chandulal K, API Vijay Wagh, constable U R Dhobal, Hanuman Mina, Suraj Bali and others. Action was taken against Chagan Rathod earlier also. Now, some more connections may likely come to the fore with this arrest, the sources said.
