Two tenders received for oxygen tank, cylinder

Aurangabad, Oct 17:

A 20 Kilolitre Liquid (KL) capacity oxygen tank will be set up at Meltron Covid Care Center (CCC) Chikalthana. A tender was issued in this regard. A tender has been received from Sagar Gas Company, Aurangabad for setting up an oxygen tank. Also, a tender has been received from Surijam Ortho Company, Ahmedabad for jumbo cylinder.

While the technical bids of both the tenders received were opened, a letter has been sent to both the agencies for documents as some of the documents were lacking, said municipal health officer Dr Nita Padalkar. The CCC at Meltron has oxygen facility for 128 beds. But there is a facility to handle more patients at the CCC.

It has been decided to set up a 20 KL oxygen tank to supply oxygen to 250 beds in the CCC. It is expected to cost around Rs 80 lakh to set up the tank. Only one tender was received from Sagar Gas Company, for liquid oxygen tank till October 13.

Also, a tender has been received from Ahmedabad-based Surijam Ortho Company for the supply of jumbo cylinders. Although a single tender has been received, there are orders that it should be accepted as it is necessary work.

Patients at the CCC in Meltron will receive state-of-the-art CT scan machines from Bajaj group of industries. Preparations are underway at the center to install the machine. The machine will be operational on the eve of Diwali. Dr Padalkar said.
