Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Vice president of the country Jagdeep Dhankhar performed bhoomipujan of four buildings at the campus of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) virtually on Saturday.
Bamu received a fund of Rs 100 crore from the Central Government for the development, under the PM-Usha project.
The four buildings are being developed for the departments from funding. The contractors for the construction of the buildings through the Public Works Department, were already appointed. The administration will also purchase required machinery and furniture from the funding.
VC Dhankhar performed the bhoomipuajan of Stress Buster Recreation Facility Centre (construction cost of Rs 9.48 crore), Centre for Folk and Cultural Studies of Marathwada (Rs 6.62 crore), Student Facilities at Central Library and Reading Room Area (Toilet Block, Parking Shed, Dining Hall and Chainlink Fencing)-Rs 3.75 crore and Centre for Digital Transformation (Rs 7.74 crore) today.
