Woman's purse stolen from hall outside ICU

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Unknown persons stole the money and mobile phone from the purse of a woman who was waiting outside for her mother, who was admitted to the intensive care unit at MGM Hospital between 2.30 am and 5 am on March 3.

Lata, the mother of Shivkanya Vasant Khedekar (40), a clerk in a college, was admitted to MGM Hospital on February 28 due to heart problems. She is undergoing treatment in the intensive care unit. Therefore, Shivkanya stayed with her mother in the hospital to take care of her.

She slept in the hall where the patient's relatives were waiting outside the intensive care unit at 2.30 am on Tuesday. She had kept her purse near the pillow. The unknown person stole the purse. It contained Rs 10,000 in cash, a mobile phone worth Rs 35,000 and identity cards. Cidco police are investigating the matter.
