Youth dies after being crushed under tractor; case filed against driver

A 28-year-old youth died on the spot after being crushed under a tractor at Chincholi Budrukh on April 9 around 5.30 pm. A case has been registered at Phulambri police station on Saturday based on the complaint of the deceased’s father. The victim has been identified as Rameshwar Jogdand.

According to the complaint, the tractor failed to climb an uphill slope, after which driver Shaikh Imran allegedly asked Rameshwar to place stones behind the vehicle. The driver then lost control, and the tractor rolled backwards, crushing him to death. The complaint further states that the driver fled the spot without helping the victim. A case has been registered against Sheikh Imran (Chauka, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district), and further investigation is underway under police inspector Sanjay Sahana.
