Youth stabbed and assaulted over Rs 100 in Kiradpura

A 20-year-old was assaulted and stabbed in the head by three men after he refused to hand over Rs 100 near Kiradpura on Friday night.
The attack occurred around 8 pm when the youth, identified as Mohammed Nabeel of Shahabazar, was returning after collecting his wages. As he passed through the locality, three men intercepted him and demanded money. When he refused, they beat him with a stick and stabbed him with a knife. The assailants have been identified as Shahrukh Chipswala from Rehmania Colony, Amer Pendi of Kiradpura, and Kayyum Chhota who lives near Jalika Dargah. All three are currently absconding. Following the brutal incident, Nabeel managed to reach home and was rushed to a hospital for treatment. A case has been registered at Jinsi Police Station under relevant sections of the IPC, including attempt to murder. Police officials said efforts are on to trace the accused.
