Accenture Chief Executive Officer Julie Sweet has been diagnosed with early-stage breast cancer and the treatment is likely to last 12-16 weeks. “I was very recently diagnosed with breast cancer. The good news is that the prognosis from my doctor is excellent; the cancer was caught early, and my condition is curable,” an internal mail by Sweet to employees, seen by Moneycontrol, read. She added that scans confirmed that there was no evidence of cancer elsewhere in the body. As stated in the memo Julie sent to our people, her prognosis is excellent, the cancer was caught early, and her condition is curable. She will work substantially as normal, and continue to lead the day-to-day operation of the company as per a Moneycontrol report. However, she will curtail travel during this period.

At its annual general meeting, Accenture shareholders approved several key proposals, including the appointment of directors, compensation for executive officers, and the creation of additional distributable reserves through a capital reduction. In addition, Accenture has partnered with Italy's largest cooperative banking group, BCC Iccrea Group, to advance its IT transformation goals. The collaboration includes a significant investment exceeding €300 million over the coming three years.
