New Delhi, Nov 9 India's automobile retail sales rose 5.11 per cent in October on a sequential basis, industry data showed on Monday.

However, sales remained in the red on a year-on-year basis.

The Federation of Automobile Dealers Associations data showed that vehicle registration in October rose to 14,13,549 units from 13,44,866 units sold in September.

Nevertheless, on a YoY basis, October retail sales declined by 23.99 per cent to 18,59,709 units from 13,44,866 units off-take during the like month of last year.
