The much awaited Gautam Gambhir stand was finally unveiled at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi.

The much awaited Gautam Gambhir stand was finally unveiled at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in New Delhi. However there was a bit of drama as the former cricketer questioned President Rajat Sharma for the delay in naming the North Stand after him. Gambhir who was an integral part of Delhi cricket has often rued the state of affairs. 

 

 

After the stand was officially named after the southpaw the left hander tweeted, “Arun Jaitley Ji was like a father figure to me and it is a matter of great pride and pleasure to have a stand built in my name at the “Arun Jaitley Stadium’. I thank the apex council, my fans, friends, and family who supported me at every step.” It was at this very venue where the architect of Indias T20 and World Cup win played his final competitive game.
