Kolkata Knight Riders on Saturday confirmed that their overseas star Jason Roy joined the team in Ahmedabad on the eve of their big-ticket IPL 2023 game against Gujarat Titans. Roy was seen arriving at the team hotel ahead of their third match of the season.
Jason Roy was named as the replacement for Shakib Al Hasan, who withdrew from IPL 2023 due to personal reasons. Roy went unsold at the IPL 2023 auction after setting his base price at Rs 1.5 crore. Roy is getting involved in the IPL for the first time since 2021, during which he played for SunRisers Hyderabad.
