Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Mumbai Indians Standings IPL 2026: Mumbai Indians were officially eliminated from the IPL 2026 playoff race after suffering a two-wicket defeat to Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Match 54 at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur on Sunday, May 10, 2026.

The defeat was Mumbai Indians’ eighth loss in 11 matches this season. The five-time champions have managed only three wins so far and now remain with six points in the standings.

Even if MI win all of their remaining three league matches, they can only finish with a maximum of 12 points, which is no longer enough to secure a place in the top four.

RCB chased down the 167-run target with two wickets in hand after a brilliant all-round effort from Krunal Pandya, who scored 73 runs in the chase. Earlier, Tilak Varma top-scored for Mumbai Indians with 57 runs, while Naman Dhir contributed 47.

Fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar starred with the ball for Bengaluru, picking up 4/23 in four overs. He dismissed Ryan Rickelton, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav and Tilak Varma during his impressive spell.

Mumbai also suffered an early setback when Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav fell cheaply, while skipper Hardik Pandya missed the match due to back spasms.

The loss ended MI’s hopes of qualifying for the IPL 2026 playoffs, making them the second team after Lucknow Super Giants to be knocked out of the tournament.

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bengaluru strengthened their playoff push with their seventh victory of the season and climbed top of the IPL 2026 points table.
