IPL 2026, RCB vs KKR Today Match: The toss for Match 57 of IPL 2026 between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Kolkata Knight Riders has been delayed due to persistent rain and a wet outfield at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium in Raipur on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.

Around 4:30 PM local time, the entire ground was placed under covers after steady rainfall for nearly 30 minutes. A brief drizzle returned at approximately 6:15 PM before heavier showers accompanied by thunder and lightning arrived again around 6:35 PM.

Although the rain stopped shortly before the scheduled toss time, the outfield remained wet. On-field umpires Rohan Pandit and Nitin Menon, along with fourth umpire Kaushik Gandhi, conducted an inspection as ground staff worked to remove covers and clear standing water with super soppers. Officials later confirmed that the next pitch inspection would take place at 8:15 PM local time.

What Happens if Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Kolkata Knight Riders Match Gets Washed Out?

As the league stage entering its decisive phase, every remaining fixture carries massive significance in the battle for the top four. RCB are aiming to strengthen their chances of a top-two finish, while KKR need victories in their remaining matches to stay alive in the playoff race.

If the match is abandoned due to rain, both teams will receive one point each. Such a result would take Bengaluru to 15 points from 12 matches, keeping them firmly placed in the top four and close to sealing qualification for the playoffs. One more victory from their remaining two league matches would likely confirm their place in the knockout stage.

For Kolkata, however, a no-result could significantly damage their chances. A shared point would take KKR to 10 points, leaving them with little room for error in their remaining fixtures. They would then need to win all three of their remaining matches to reach 16 points and would still rely on favourable results from other teams.
