Opening the innings, Rickelton dominated the SRH bowling attack with a 55-ball knock that included 10 fours and eight sixes. It was his maiden IPL century and the highest individual score for Mumbai Indians, surpassing Sanath Jayasuriya’s 114 not out at the same venue in 2008. He also registered the fastest century for the franchise, reaching the milestone in 44 balls.

Tilak Varma managed just 7, but Rickelton finished strongly, hitting a six and a boundary in the final over to push Mumbai past the 240 mark.

For Sunrisers Hyderabad, Praful Hinge was the most successful bowler with two wickets, though he conceded 54 runs. Eshan Malinga returned figures of 1 for 29, while Pat Cummins went wicketless with 0 for 39.
