Melbourne Renegades have signed English uncapped seamer Richard Gleeson as replacement for Usman Shinwari and Faheem Ansari for BBL 2019. Both the players from Pakistan had signed with the Melbourne Renegades for the first half of the tournament. Usman Shinwari is part of the national squad for the Rawalpindi Test against Pakistan, meanwhile, Ashraf is all set to participate in the domestic tournament.
Moreover Harry Gurney who was going to replace Shinwari in the later stage of the tournament is now expected to be a part of all the matches. "It's obviously unfortunate to lose Shinwari and Ashraf on the eve of the season but sometimes that's the nature of T20 cricket in a busy international schedule," new Renegades coach Michael Klinger said in a statement.'' The English quickie was part of the recently concluded T10 league in the UAE and has a career economy rate of 7.47 in England's domestic T20 competition.
