The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday named all-rounder Shivam Dube as the replacement for Nitish Kumar Reddy in India's 15-member squad for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe starting July 6.
"The Men's Selection Committee named Shivam Dube as a replacement for the injured Nitish Reddy in India's squad for the upcoming tour of Zimbabwe. The BCCI Medical Team is monitoring Nitish Reddy's progress," the BCCI said in a statement.
Reddy, a young batsman who impressed during the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL) season with the SunRisers Hyderabad, has been ruled out due to an injury. The BCCI did not disclose the specifics of the injury but said the 21-year-old from Visakhapatnam is being monitored by the medical team.

Dube, who had earlier received his maiden India call-up for the five-match series, will now join the squad led by captain Shubman Gill. The team will play a five-match T20I series against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club from July 6 to 16.
