WPL Retention 2026: The Women’s Premier League franchises announced their retained players ahead of the upcoming WPL 2026 mega auction. Defending champions Mumbai Indians retained five players. The list includes captain Harmanpreet Kaur and England all-rounder Nat Sciver-Brunt. Royal Challengers Bengaluru kept skipper Smriti Mandhana along with three other players. Delhi Capitals retained Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma while releasing captain Meg Lanning. Gujarat Giants retained just two players, Ashleigh Gardner and Beth Mooney. UP Warriorz retained only Shweta Sehrawat, letting go of stars including all-rounder Deepti Sharma and Alyssa Healy. Mandhana of RCB and Sciver-Brunt of MI are the costliest retentions at 3.5 crore each.
