After Deepika, National Award winner Madhu Mantena's name emerges in Bollywood drug racket

In a shocking disclosure, as per a Times Now report, National Award winning filmmaker and entrepreneur Madhu Mantena Varma's name has emerged in the drug nexus. The Narcotics Control Bureau has issued summons to the ace producer. His name had allegedly come up during the questioning of Jaya Saha, the talent manager whose chats with Deepika Padukone had gone viral. Madhu Mantena is a known producer in the film industry for close to two decades. After films like Ghajini and Rakta Charitra as an independent producer, he was a part of the quartet, also including Anurag Kashyap, Vikas Bahl and Vikramaditya Motwane that had set up the now-defunct Phantom Films, The banner was behind numerous popular films in the last few years, like Lootera, Hasee Toh Phasee, Queen, Shaandaar, Masaan, Udta Punjab, Super 30, Trapped.

He was married to fashion designer Masaba Gupta, daughter of Neena Gupta and Sir Vivian Richards, before parting ways in 2018. The Narcotics Control Bureau has been probing the drugs angle in the late star Sushant Singh Rajput's case. The late actor's death case is also being probed by the Enforcement Directorate and the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The latest news update has now come in the form of Jaya Saha making a shocking revelation about the filmmaker Madhu Mantena. It is said that Deepika will be questioned by the NCB this week while Karishma is supposed to show at the agency office tomorrow. Many more prominent A-listers are expected to be named and summoned by the NCP in the coming weeks. Madhu who has shifted base to Goa for some months now, is expected to fly back to Mumbai in time for his interrogation by the NCB on Wednesday.
