Archana Puran Singh's Son Ayushmaan Sethi Falls Victim to Credit Card Scam, ₹87,000 Deducted in Fraud Transaction
Actor Archana Puran Singh and her husband Parmeet Sethi recently faced a stressful financial scare after their son, Ayushmaan Sethi, was reportedly caught in an online credit card scam that led to an unauthorised deduction of ₹87,000.
The incident came to light through a family vlog, where Ayushmaan explained that the amount was charged after he signed up for what appeared to be a seven-day free trial. He said the platform initially showed a zero-charge transaction, which he approved. However, shortly after, a full annual subscription fee was deducted without any clear prior warning, leaving him shocked and confused.
During the vlog, Archana Puran Singh advised her son to immediately contact the bank and request a cancellation of the transaction. Parmeet Sethi suggested taking steps to block or stop the payment process. Adding a lighter moment to the tense situation, Ayushmaan’s brother, Aaryamann Sethi, joked about his repeated encounters with online scams, bringing some humour into the discussion.
This is not the first time Ayushmaan has faced such an issue. He previously lost nearly ₹80,000 in a similar online fraud linked to a gaming platform, though he later managed to recover the amount.
The family’s candid sharing of the incident has drawn attention online, highlighting the risks of hidden charges in free trial offers and the importance of careful digital transactions
