Author and politican Tuhin A Sinha has demanded the Yogi Adityanath government to arrest singer singer Kanika Kapoor for hiding her travel details after she was tested positive for COVID-19. Tuhin Sinha wrote, 'I demand Shri Yogi Adityanath ji to take legal action and arrest Kanika Kapoor under Section 3 of the Epidemic Act, 1897. Until we set a hard example, this battle going on with the Corona virus cannot be won.
Kanika returned from London 10 days ago and after returning from London, she has also become a part of a party with a gathering of more than 100 people. Netizens on social media slammed Kanika for her reckless behaviour and tagged her as ‘irresponsible’. In her statement, Kanika had revealed, “For the past 4 days I have had signs of flu, I got myself tested and it came positive for Covid-19. My family and I are in complete quarantine now and following medical advice on how to move forward. Contact mapping of people I have been in touch with is underway aswell.” There are 4 new corona virus cases in Uttar Pradesh today, including Kanika.
