Her costume had “American Idol Instant Music Sanitizer” written across the front. “'Oh, hey! Katy Perry, here, reminding you to stay safe, wash your hands, and tune into an all-new like never before episode of American Idol tonight on ABC at 8/7 central,” she said in the video clip.
Katy is currently expecting her first child with fiance Orlando Bloom. The two have been in an on-and-off relationship since 2016. Katy is currently practicing self-isolation at her Los Angeles home. Speaking about American Idol the show went remote with their first-ever home edition. The Top 20 contestants are set to perform from their homes across the country. Judges, Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and Luke Bryan will critique the contestants sitting at home, while Ryan Seacrest will host the show from his living room. This is the first-ever remote edition in the history of 'American Idol' because of the current coronavirus pandemic.
