Veteran actor Dilip Kumar was recently hospitalised with health complications and has been diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion. However, his condition is stable. The actor was admitted to Hinduja Hospital in Khar, Mumbai on 6th June as he felt breathlessness. Now, Faisal Farooqui has shared an update about his health with his fans.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, he wrote, ‘Thank you for your prayers. A successful pleural aspiration procedure was performed on Dilip Saab. I personally spoke to Dr. Jalil Parkar and Dr. Nitin Gokhale. They are optimistic that he will be discharged tomm (Thursday).’Dilip Kumar was last admitted to the hospital in May for his regular health check-up. He was reportedly discharged two days later. Dilip Kumar made acting debut with Jwar Bhata in 1944, and has appeared in several iconic films in his career spanning over five decades, including Kohinoor, Mughal-e-Azam, Devdas, Naya Daur, Ram Aur Shyam.
