Everyone knows actress Dia Mirza as a Bollywood star and model but does anyone know she is a well-known social worker of the country. Dia Mirza who entertained the audience with her brilliant performances has turned 40 today on 9 December 2021, after playing commendable roles in the industry the actress is now stepping down to help needy people. On her special day let's see her work in society.

Dia Mirza worked in several awareness programs which include, Cancer Patients Aid Association and Spastics Society of India, and has worked extensively with the government of Andhra Pradesh to spread HIV awareness, prevention of female foeticide, PETA.

She also adopted two cheetah cubs at the Prince of Wales zoological park in Lucknow.

Dia Mirza and Aamir Khan publicly expressed support for the Narmada Bachao Andolan, a group protesting the building of a dam for which she won the Green Award at IIFA 2012 for spreading awareness about environment-related issues.

Mirza has been felicitated at several award functions for her active involvement in social and environmental issues.

She is also the ambassador for the Swachh Bharat Mission's youth-based 'Swachh Saathi' program. She is the first-ever artist ambassador of Save The Children India. Dia is also working for animal welfare and also the ambassador for the Wildlife Trust of India.

Her biggest achievement in social work was when she was appointed Secretary-General of the United Nations as an advocate of Sustainable Development Goals.

Dia runs many programs for society's welfare which is commendable, apart from acting the actress is doing the work for society is really inspiring. She even runs a blog for environmental issues.
